Ubuntu
Prompt appeared stuck at:
[OK] Starting LSB: AppArmor initialzation
This was resolved with a Ctrl-C which allowed the boot to continue.
Once booted a sudo dpkg --configure -a and sudo apt-get update resolved the upgrade.
