Sun Fire V100
Recovered zebra one of my Sun Fire V100 using diskless(8).
Remembering to start all the needed deamons:
/usr/sbin/portmap -d
/sbin/nfsd -t -u -n 2
/sbin/mountd -d
/usr/sbin/rpc.bootparamd -d
/usr/sbin/rarpd -d re1
Then using rpcinfo -p to check everything, and tcpdump to check what is happening on the network.
Doing a boot -v bsd resulted in the kernel dropping into a panic with an unknown option `v' error - I was hoping for verbose output from OpenProm.
PoE Fix
PoE power fix for a NanoStation M2: a good write up, and good solution to a power problem.
