Portege R830-13C
Bought a refurbished Toshiba Portege R830-13C laptop, on first boot I pressed F2 and set the BIOS to boot from CD, I then put in my OpenBSD 5.3 CD, and installed OpenBSD 5.3. I then downloaded and installed OpenBSD 5.4-beta.
The plan is to have this laptop dual booting between OpenBSD and Debian.
Installed debian in the first partition of the disk.
Getting GRUB to play ball was a nightmare - the documentation did not mention the solution:
menuentry 'OpenBSD' {
set root=(hd0,openbsd1)
chainloader +1
boot
}
This needs to go in the 40_cutom file,then run:
update-grubto update the appropriate grub files.
