Oracle have a regexp_like() function for matching against a regular expression in a where clause:

REGEXP_LIKE( searchcolumn, pattern [, matchoption])

The match options are one of:

  • c - case sensitive matching (default)
  • i - case insensitive matching
  • n - allow match any character operator
  • m - treat source as multiple lines
