Oracle have a regexp_like() function for matching against a regular expression in a where clause:
REGEXP_LIKE( searchcolumn, pattern [, matchoption])
The match options are one of:
- c - case sensitive matching (default)
- i - case insensitive matching
- n - allow match any character operator
- m - treat source as multiple lines
